For COA — Cuisine of Asia, the Frankfurt-born restaurant concept, we supplied David Trubridge’s Hinaki and Coral across several of its restaurants.

The interiors combine a dark, industrial setting with warm timber, communal tables and distinctive burnt-orange accents. Against the open black ceilings, the lighting becomes an important part of the atmosphere, adding warmth and softness to the architecture.

Hinaki, inspired by the traditional Māori fish trap, brings a slender, sculptural presence above the communal tables. Coral adds a contrasting organic form, with its open, cellular structure creating a lighter, more delicate expression.

For COA, a special Burgundy Red finish was developed specifically for the chain, adding a rich, sophisticated layer of colour to selected fixtures. Used alongside natural and lighter finishes, it gives the lighting a distinctive identity across the different locations.

A natural and sculptural lighting language, developed to complement COA’s contemporary take on Asian cuisine.
